Colorado River - The Colorado River offers serenity, recreation and an abundance of wildlife. Starting in the central Rocky Mountains, the river flows southwest through the Grand Canyon before reaching Lake Mead on the Arizona–Nevada border. It then turns south toward Blythe and stretches down to the international border.
Blythe Municipal Golf Course - This 18-hole par 73 golf course opened in 1968. This course is excellent for beginners to intermediates and has a combination of single and parallel holes, as well as fun elevation changes as you navigate your way around the course.
Kaylee Mae Mine - Previously called the Opal Hill Mine, this spot offers rockhounders the perfect place to find opal, rare fire agate, and quartz crystals. Tucked deep into the mule mountains, this mine is described as a calm hillside claim, that overlooks a beautiful desert valley. The site began in 1965 and continues to produce rare gemstones.
Hauser Geode Beds - Located about an hour south-west of Blythe, this desert area is renowned for its beautiful geodes and great views. Bring a pick and shovel and you might find one of these crystal lined spheres and other rare rocks.
Colorado River Fair - an annual fairground is held very close to El Rancho Estates with rides, prizes, games, and food. It’s great fun for all ages.
The Blythe Intaglios - These huge ancient figures drawn into the desert landscape are believed to be at least 800 years old and could be over 2000 years old. The Intaglios are outlines of a man, a woman, a horse, and a coiled snake. The most significant figure is 175 feet long. They were first discovered in 1930 by aviator George Palmer who spotted them while flying over the area. In 1982 these ancient artworks became a Historic Monument.
